In this article, we will review how to copy and edit a Survey. Once an Effort has been launched, the associated Survey cannot be edited. The Survey is locked in order to protect the integrity and consistency of the data being collected. Copying a survey, allows you to make edits to a new version of the original survey.
Editing a Locked Survey
To edit a locked Survey, start by making a copy of the original Survey.
Once in the duplicate Survey you’ll have to re-create any questions that you’d like to edit.
Then delete the existing question.
As always, the Next Question logic will reset when adding and moving questions so reset the logic at the end of your editing.
When editing a copied Survey, be aware of linking the edited version of the Survey question to the parent question. To do this, begin typing the question and you'll be given suggestions on linked questions. This is useful for viewing results for a specific question across different Surveys.
