After launching your Canvassing Effort, you can view live results. On the Monitor Effort page, you can:
- View your live Effort with high-level counts of doors knocked.
- View each Canvasser's Turf on the map.
- View individual interactions coming in live from your Canvassers.
Effort Overview focuses on monitoring the progress made through canvassing effort, where counts are calculated by the number of doors instead of people. This allows you have the most accurate account of progress through your effort.
- Total Doors in Turf: The sum of all doors in cut turfs for the effort.
-
Unique Attempted Doors: Unique count of doors for all attempts and contacts.
- Ex: If a canvasser knocks on a door and marks “Not Home” and then returns to the same door later and Contacts someone, the attempt stays as one.
- Contacted Doors: Represents the unique doors that had a script submission.
The total Contacted with Unique Attempted gives a quick snapshot of your contact rate.

- Surveys completed will display “Contacted”

Location Monitoring AKA “Shenanigans”
When a canvassing interaction is sent for a Contact or a Disposition, the icon on the map will change depending on the location of the canvasser relative to the household in which they were entering data.
- A Check Mark will appear if the interaction was sent within 1/8th of a mile from the location of the door.
- An Exclamation Mark will appear if the interaction was sent farther than 1/8th of a mile from the location of the door.
- A Question Mark will appear if we were unable to get the location data needed.
The icons will NOT be retroactive, but if there is an active effort during the release, any new interactions will have the new icons.
