Voted Method refers to the channel or process a voter used to cast their ballot, capturing how the ballot was submitted in the election.
This field is populated when a voter has cast their ballot and the associated information has been reported by the state or election authority.
The possible values and their definitions are:
Early In Person: Voter cast their ballot before Election Day, in person at a designated polling site or elections office.
Absentee or Mail: Voter returned their ballot before Election Day, by mail, drop box, or in person, depending on the options available in their election district. The voter may have requested an absentee or mail ballot to be mailed to them by election authorities, or may have automatically received a ballot in the mail in an all-mail state.
Election Day In Person: Voter cast their ballot on Election Day, in person.
Method Not Reported: How the voter cast their ballot is unknown, because that information was not reported by the state or election authority.
