Deploy and Manage a Script

When you create a Script, you can save it as a draft or publish it right away. Scripts in draft and published form can be found under Outreach > Scripts. In the Actions menu before you publish your script, you will be able to View, Edit, Duplicate, or  Delete your draft. After you publish your Script, you will see options in the Actions menu to View, Duplicate and Fill out Script.

 

Actions for Draft State 

  • View: Will let you view the full script with branching.
  • Edit: Within Edit mode, you can make changes to all aspects of your Script but you cannot rename it. When you are finished, make sure to publish the Script.
  • Duplicate: When you need to change a Script while still preserving the data integrity of existing uses of the original script, duplication is a great option.
    • Please note: You will have only one opportunity to give the duplicate a new name. This option will present right after you click Duplicate.
  • Delete: This option deletes your Script.


Actions for Published State

  • View: Will let you view the full script with branching.
  • Edit: Will let you edit and republish changes to the script

    • If Edit is greyed out it means it's in an active canvassing effort and you will need to wait until that effort has ended to edit and republish.

  • Duplicate: When you need to change a Script while still preserving the data integrity of existing uses of the original script, duplication is a great option.

  • Fill Out Script: This option allows you to test the script or fill it out on behalf of an individual.

Out of Date

If you see an “Out of date” tag on your script, it means one or more changes have been made from a custom attribute update or archive that may have affected your script. You should edit the script and review changes and update if needed and then republish. 

Using a Script in a Landing Page
