Workspaces in Organizer allows an organization to better divide work while maintaining account level visibility into all activities. Workspaces in Organizer help partners to avoid overlapping outreach and work strategically within one account.
Cross-workspace sharing is not currently available for Outreach Efforts although organization level account holders can see all outreach efforts.
Workspaces is currently in a Beta testing program, and Workspaces is not widely available to all Organizer accounts. If you are interested in participating in the Beta testing program, please contact your Partnerships Success Manager.
When is Workspaces the Right Solution?
Workspaces works well for organizations who may divide work geographically and want to maintain an overall view of the work nationally. A national organization with state chapters or a state organization dividing work by county or a city-wide electoral campaign may divide work by neighborhood or precinct.
Workspaces also works for organizations who may divide outreach efforts using demographic or affiliations. For example, an issue advocacy organization may want to divide up outreach efforts using age or other demographic factors or even the connection to the organization.

When will Workspaces not be a good solution?
Workspaces will not work for situations where legal separation requires a separation of data. For example, if an organization has a 501(C)(3) and a 501(C)(4), then Workspaces is not a solution as the information is shared in a Workspaces account.
Workspaces will not work for accounts which require different payment methods for each workspace. There is one billing method per account and we do not currently offer workspace specific billing.
Workspaces will also not work well for coalitions of organizations where each organization needs separate data control and their own account.

If you are interested in turning on Workspaces for your account, please contact your partnership success manager. Once Workspaces is activated for your account, then you can start using Workspaces.
